Fear is one of the mind’s oldest protection systems. It is designed to keep you safe. But sometimes the brain learns to react too strongly to situations that are not actually dangerous. This is how phobias develop.
A past experience, a learned association, or even something your mind once interpreted as threatening can become stored as a warning signal. Later, when you encounter something similar, the brain reacts automatically. Your body goes into fight, flight or freeze before you have time to think.
This is why many people say, “I know it’s irrational, but I still can’t control it.”
Phobias are not a sign of weakness. They are simply learned responses that the mind has not updated yet. Using cognitive hypnotherapy, we work directly with the patterns that created the fear response. Instead of trying to force yourself through the fear, we help the brain recognise that the situation is no longer a threat.
As the mind updates this response, the intense emotional reaction begins to fade. Situations that once triggered fear start to feel neutral, manageable, or simply no longer important. The goal is not to fight your mind. The goal is to help it realise that it no longer needs to protect you in this way.

“She helped me get rid of the fear linked to this traumatic event and she even helped me create positive memories about it. I was blown away how powerful her technique was. At the end of the session, I was feeling lighter, relieved and even happy! It gave me the chance to enjoy my time with my kids as nothing ever happened.Mind blowing.” Felicie
